Thanks Drake.

And Predator,
We stayed at a relatively modest place called Auberge Bligny in Franschhoek. It's a B&B, and that's all there is to it. If staying there, you should ask for the suite on the second floor.

As for B&B and lodging, anybody else enjoying the standard eggs and fried tomatoes?

lessthanzero: thanks for the info. Glad you enjoyed Chitwa, the camp you were at is the one that is most appealing to me -- hopefully I get there on a future visit.

What a great trip! Your photos are wonderful. And aren't you the brave one - bungee jumping. Thanks for posting these.

Those are a wonderfully provocative collage of southern africa: well done on capturing the essence of my home land so beautifully on film!

Great photos. I love the shots of Dizzy Gillespie giraffe and the croc teeth, but also lots of the shots of some of the smaller creatures like insects.

I'm so glad you liked Chitwa Chitwa Safari Lodge -- we loved it there -- are Mike and Nikki still there or who is running the camp these days? Also, where did you stay at Kruger (one of the bridge shots looks like it was taken near Olifants)? We are going back to Kruger in December and counting the days.

And your photos of Cape Town made me long to go back there. Thanks for posting these.

Fodder,
thanks! I used a Nikon D70 with an 80-400mm or an 18-200mm attached, in addition to a lot of CF cards. SA is really picturesque.

Lisa,
I don't remember a Lisa or a Nikki, but Chitwa was great! Thanks for your comliments.
