Just a few photos from our March 2006 trip to Ongava and Etosha National Park in Namibia.

Thanks for sharing. Etosha is one of my favorite parks, and I hadn't seen photos during the rainy season. Any elephants, or had they all moved west?

thit cho,
Most of them had moved on, either to the East or West and there were not too many sightings. The Pan, during this last rainy season, was basically a shallow lake.

Nice photos. That last one...the zebra appears to have lost it's tail?

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful photos. Great shot of the white rhino, and I loved the sunsets.

Oh, and your "finale" was very cute.

TheMac:

These were great - beautiful photos and beautiful music (one of my favorites )

If I recall correctly, you live in Namibia right now, correct? We are giving some thought to trying to find a house to rent next February/March (on the coast??)for about 6 weeks, and then going on day/long weekend type of trips for exploring the country. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on this?

Wonderful photos. Love the zebras, the lion drinking, the sunsets--and of course the rhino is verrry impressive.

Cyn,

We thoroughly enjoy Swakopmund, and go there every chance we get. It is about a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from Windhoek on a great two lane road.
I guess it would be depend on how much driving, or paying for flights you wanted to do. Where do you plan to visit?
If you don't already have a place to rent you can contact: Retha at [email protected]. We always use their company, they have houses and apartments for rent in the Swakop and Long Beach area.
The weather will still be warm in Namibia, and most if not all of the rains should be done. But, if it is like last year, a lot of rain, everything will still be quite wet.
If I can be of any assistance let me know.
Bill
