I gave you the Visa prices in your other thread, obtainable upon arrival in VFA, cost USD$30.

Tipping - Most camps provide a Suggested Tipping List in your room or tent, but generally for Rangers they suggest $10/day per person; for Tracker $5-$7/day per person; for camp Staff (distributed between Maids, Kitchen Staff, Bellpersons, etc.) $10/day per person. Of course, based on service provided.

So between you and your husband it would be about $25-$27/day.

Considering you will have your children with you, have you ascertained whether they will be able to go out on Game Drives (often children younger than 12, are not permitted to do so).

If they are permitted to go on Games Drives you have to consider additional tips for them, though these can be $10,10 = $20/day total for Ranger & Tracker and add another $5/day for Staff.

If they are not permitted on Games Drives, then add some tip money to the Staff amount daily, unless Mala Mala has a person specifically assigned to keep them occupied when you are out on Game Drives and trip that person separately.

We tipped in USD, but you can also tip the comparable amount in Rand. These are just suggestions.

pgmargate - I would suggest you ask Pacific Delight Tours for guest comments and/or thank you letters they received from client. PD might even have clients who can be contacted by phone or email.

It is not unusual for tour companies to send out Guest Comment/Suggestion Questionnaires at conclusion of trips; nor for clients to send thank you letters. So they should be willing to share this information with you.

You might also want to check with the Better Business Bureau re any complaints with the company and how/if they were resolved. It's always a good idea, especially when dealing with companies that don't have an office down the street - most of us are dealing with company miles, if not, countries away.

With the exception of companies that are "Africa specific" it is rare that a company such as PD, which is more "Asia specific" to be used for others areas, and you might not get an individual response.

You'll note on another post these past two days, an indiviidual inquiring of three companies - one in the UK, one in Chicago and the third in Connecticut. All are Africa specific and it appears that one of the companies has received positive reviews. But that doesn't make PD any less capable of providing the services as stated, therefore, the recommendation of getting such information direct from PD and checking the BBB.
