Gardyloo,

That is a pretty neat trick. Of course, I would never expect anybody to sit and type out that whole URL, but rather merely copy and paste it.

In any event, here is the tiny URL for Petrillo's Pizza and its admiring reviews:

http://tinyurl.com/r2wsk

One other reason to love Petrillo's...they go so overboard with their toppings that I am able to make my dogs very happy with just the excess pepperoni and sausage!

Pasadena CA (Roccco I thought you lived in Pasadena but I've visited Mountain Cove a couple of times - I have friends who live on Ridge View drive just down the street from you)

Deb,

I formerly lived in the Historic Highlands area of Pasadena (near Hill and New York Drive, just below Altadena) but when Mountain Cove appeared, my wife and I fell in love with the setting and jumped at the opportunity. We still keep our Pasadena home for an income property.

There is a fabulous new development being built, Garnet Hill, nearby and I am getting an itchy trigger finger:

I love Pasadena but it is also great to have a new custom home in a city just 10 miles away that offers such great value for money. Plus, with all of the new townhomes/highrise apartments popping up all over Pasadena, it is getting more and more congested.

Rocco,

How was that slice? Did you binge?

Celia,

My friends graduated and i dont visit urbana anymore. This is funny, the first time i visited there.....i was driving from Fort Wayne and on the highway read signs "Guns save lives" etc etc., for a long stretch and i went...."Gosh, these ppl live here!!!" and then, yep....Papa Del's was the saving grace that weekend.

Hari,

After having Mexican food for lunch, I was in no mood for a heavy dinner of Petrillo's Pizza. Hopefully I can save myself for a week or two and then get it while watching some good fights (boxing). That is the best combination...I think if I am distracted by the boxing and just enjoying the pizza but not thinking about it, that somehow it has less calories!

Hari,

Right now I'm busy preparing pasta sauce for our evening meal: lots of tomato, capsicum, celery, onion, garlic, chilli, black pepper, parsley, soy sauce, Italian herbs. That help?

It's not the fault of your computer, Den.

The problem occurred when our friend
Roccco decided to enter a long URL,
sort of hijacking the thread and amking
it not very readable in one fell swoop.

Boy, I'm glad I saw that post about going to the right - I thought my computer had totally lost it! Anyway, Bradenton, Florida - about 60 miles south of Tampa on the Gulf coast. Alternately, southwest of Orlando - just about everyone knows where Disney World is!

Rizzuto,

With a name like Rizzuto you must appreciate that this thread was hijacked in the name of PIZZA! Anyway, I blame Hari for bringing up Pizza in the first place!

Anyway, some good has come of it...how many of us knew about www.tinyurl.com before this thread.

Now I am able to share this link, one from www.aol.com verifying that Petrillo's is the best pizza, at least in Los Angeles but likely in the entire galaxy:

http://tinyurl.com/jjzz3

Yes, I am on my way to pick up a Petrillo's Pizza right now!

bellhouse-
wow, Bradenton - hadn't thought about there for a long time - but we spent many year's vacations there in the 80's at Palmetto - Terra Cia Bay Resort (may have spelled that wrong) LOVED it!! Is it still there? Is the Crab Trap restaurant still there too?

bellhouse - my great grandmother spent her winters in Bradenton for many, many years until she moved there permanently. We visited many times and loved it. She passed away in the mid 80's and I haven't been back. I imagine it's changed quite a bit since then.
