Nomad Tanzania 30% off for 2011/2012 dates if booked by July 31, 2010
Their website says 20% off but this NT agent says they've just sweetened the deal by another 10%

BTW - that is also a lovely blog above (trufflepig) - have a look around.
Wish I could take advantage of this deal! Highly recommend NT - we had a great time at Serengeti Safari Camp and Loliondo in January - ask for Felix Mollel as your guide if you book.

I contacted Nomad Tanzania using this email address [email protected] that I found on their website
I received a response from Eliza saying that they do not book safaris directly. She forwarded my email to Maps Edge Safari. I emailed several Tanzanian companies and they all came back with similar quotes for my itinerary ranging from $1,500-$2,500...except for Maps Edge. Maps Edge's quote came in at judge under $6,000!! This quote was for the same lodgings, same itinerary.
So does Nomad Tanzania book safaris directly, or not? If they don't and this 30% is for their partner (or whatever) Map's Edge, than 30% isn't close to enough to bring them within range of most of the other TZ based operators.

Nomad's doesn't take direct bookings. Thus the tour operator you're using for the TNZ segment should be able to book space here, but do remember to ask them to follow-up on whatever discounts available for the time of your travel.
From how I read the link, the 20% discount was for new bookings (from whenever is was first offered... Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr ?... who knows) was for those booked by 31st July '10, then they added 10% = 30%. This total 30% expires as 31st July, but 10% of that is good till (unforeseable future??? duh!) probably end 2010 (or maybe mid-Dec when camps go into their Christmas/New Year's pricing period).
What will be for 2011, who knows?

Divingprincess. I booked with Nomad for our Tanzania safari last year through Africa Travel Resource in the U.K. They were able to get the Nomad discount and even got one free night for me at Sand Rivers AFTER our initial booking. Give them a try. I worked with Lenny. He was quite good at getting the camps to pony up with discounts. By using Selous Safari Camps we got all our in-country air for free.

Try Superb tours(after the African bird)...they were the most reasonable I found with great lodging and worked out exactly what we wanted to do. If you use my name they will really help out as much as possible. They also give back to the community a percentage of the fee. I can give you the name of the orphanges in Arusha that they help out...Any ask for Benjamin. GREAT COMPANY!!
