I am the "whistle blower" and I agree that EH does seem to be a legitimate company, but used Fodor's to gain customers with false posts. One of their posters who claimed to be from Dallas Texas and had taken 4 tours with EH, did not appear on their (EH) web site's guest comments, nor could I find a Carla from the UK or a Pamela. If they were actual tour takers and took the time to write on Fodor's, wouldn't they have posted their satisfaction there? When looking for recommendations, I think it is a good idea to look at the person's other posts. That said, for those who were swayed by these posts, and are on their way, I do think you will be fine and have a good tour.
Susumiki--I see you are from Malaysia. We have vacationed 3 times, (independently) 10 weeks cumultively, in Malaysia. Love the country, love the people, love the infrastructure, love love the food.

Joe, you MUST cruise!!! It's an essential Egyptian experience. I'm sure you're going to love it... And the atmosphere is more than quiet.

For twofortheroad

Off topic again I'm afraid - glad you enjoyed Malaysia and our food - we do love to eat!

I've cruised from Aswan to Luxor and had no problem sleeping at all. No excessive noise. Even if you don't sunbath, you can sit on a covered deck and watch the scenery, which is beautiful. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

After doing a lot more researching we are ready to book our tour with EH. I have been talking (e-mailing) references from EH's website. I have several respones. All glowing reports. They all had some negatives about weather, food, etc. But nothing negative about EH. The references are e-mailing me paragraphs of information about EH as well as Egypt. If they were not real, I don't think anyone has the time to put that much effort into answsering e-mails. By the way I e-mailed persons from Europe as well as the US. I feel confident they are a legit tour company. Can't wait until I go. Only 6 more months.

I went to Egypt 1 1/2 years ago & included in our itinerary was a 7 day trip down the Nile. That is too long. They had a 4 day which you saw the same thing. I'm not a bather either & was bored a lot because of the dragged out river cruise. Highly recommend the 4 day one though.
