I just stayed at Dar Seffarine in Fes which I thought was very good. Hard to find so make sure you get picked up from airport or station, you still have to walk a way from where the taxi / driver stops.

Thanks MmePerdu for correcting my spelling. Yes I meant Fes. I did not get any comments for our tentative itinerary so I suppose it is a good plan, which by the way was developed after reading all your responses up to now in this blog. Also, leaning towards traveling by train rather then renting a car.
Have to book Riads in Fes and Kesh soon.
Thanks

We have a nine night tour with guide set. It is way too lengthy for the message board.
We fly in to Casablanca and night one in Rabat. Night two and three in Chefchoeuen, Night four and five Fez,Night six and seven in the desert camp in Mezouga.Night 8 is ear Skoura Oasi and nine is Essouiara. Then we got to Marrakech for a week. You can see so much more with a guide driver and just hire experts for FEz and Marrakech. My direct Email is [email protected] and we also reside in CA. Send an Email if this is of interest.Possibly talk by telephone. On our trip we stay in four/five star hotels and tent with showers and bathroom in the desert.

Thanks Bedar. Someone had to do it. Akin to "Frisco" in these parts and, yes, Cali. Yikes.

Hi folks,
Firstly my sincere apology for the short form for Marrakesh to Kesh.On this blog WLKE and RPCVKB wrote the short form "Kesh" so I thought it is an excepted term.

Cgeidl- I am sending you an email so we can chat.I would sure appreciate your guidance on planning the trip.

Folks- We are trying to figure out how to get to Fes from Marrakesh:
My apology but few more questions about Marrakesh to Fes travel:
1. Train- As I was researching it appears there is a night train from Marrakesh to Fes departing at 23hr reaching Fes at 08hr. Can you please confirm. If so does the train have sleeping berths in first class. Night train can give us one more day in Marrakesh.
2. Bus- Can we take a bus to Fes via the mid Atlas route passing Beni Mellal and Ifrane route. If this is possible then we prefer this so we can see that part of Morocco which we wont be able to do otherwise. In this case we will leave during the day to enjoy the drive.
3. Car- Can we hire a car and driver to drive the Mid Atlas route to go to Fes? If so, how much would it cost.
I hope I do not have any more questions.
Thanks,

Yes, of course, you can take the bus between Marrakesh and Fes, but the route isn't very interesting, scenic, but I would take the bus over a car and driver as that will be quite expensive. Have you looked at the train site yet ? Look for couchette which is the sleeper.

I just looked at the ONCF site. Seems you would have to change trains in Casa or Rabat. Wouldn't be a good night's sleep.

I think for me when trying to convey information, or receive if I understand what the other party is saying or trying to say , what's the difference if it's in shorthand code, abbreviated? isn't the point of this forum to help others and share information? I'm from new York, born and raised if someone said nyc, new yawk, whatever , who cares? I don't it's about sharing information then deal with shorthand , if your sensitive to that, look away! it's not that important in the grand scheme of life. safe travels to all

I believe that pics are better than a 1000 words...so here is a month in Maroc and a map for you to peruse. Suggest you rent a car. Driving is almost traffic free, good signage and roads. As fellow Californians, contact me if you wish at sgtbranko at aol dot com
