morocco and egypt
I want to fly from the US mid November to Morocco and then on to Egypt, then back to the US. I'm planning on a 6 week trip. I've seen articles about flying to European cities like London,Paris or Amsterdam, and then on to Morocco, but can't find out how to put it together. Any ideas which city to fly into in Morocco and from which city to depart to Cairo? Where can I find the best airfares? Can anyone help?

From London Gatwick you can fly to Marrakech with EasyJet. We did this trip only last week. Our first experience with this budget airline...no problems....hassle free and very cheap.
Egyptair offer flights from Cassablanca to Cairo.
Also to consider Royal Air Maroc fly direct from NYC to Marrakech.

Seems if you want to go to Egypt from Morocco an African-based airline might hold the answer. So I looked up Egypt Air. They fly Casablanca to Cairo. They also fly Cairo - JFK. AND they are members of Star Alliance. Which other airlines belong to SA? Next stop Lufthansa.
They fly Frankfurt to Casablanca and sure as eggs are eggs they will fly to the US.
Here's the link for FRA-CMN.
http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...l=en&cid=18002
So if Star Alliance have any deals on, that might be the way to go.
Else fly to London, do Easyjet, Egypt Air to Cairo and back to London.
If you are going walkabout in Egypt then there are several budget carriers that will get you back to London, depending on where you want to depart from.
Cheers.

Where in the US are you starting from? It makes a difference in the route that you take.
It looks like both Egypt Air and Royal Air Maroc can take you from Casablanca to Cairo. Egypt Air can take you from Cairo to NYC and RAM from NYC to Casablanca, but I suspect neither can do the opposite.
The easiest way, I suspect, is to go to the websites for the Casablanca & Cairo airports & find out which airlines fly into them. Then check on your alliances. Then check on your flight times, stops, length of time from start to finish, etc.
Or go to Orbitz and see what they suggest. It will tell you what the feasible connections are. You don't have to buy from them, but it will give you a good start.
