Masi Mara for one Day
Hi Everyone-
Quick question, our safari ends in Arusha on March 25 in the afternoon and we do not need to depart until the 27th. Is is possible/ and worth it/ to try to travel to the Masi Mara for one full day. Any input is welcome. Thank you!!!

What did you wind up with for your itinerary? [It would help to know because folks may have other suggestions for your extra day.] Plus what time do you get to Arusha on the 25th and what time do you depart on the 27th [KLM evening flight out of Kili]?

we end on the 25th at the Arusha airport around 1:00pm. We are actually going on to Turkey so it does not matter if we leave from JRO or NBO on the 27th. We will probably need an am flight on the 27th in order to get to Turkey that evening.
Thanks for the help

From Arusha on the 25th March, you can make th 1:45pm flight to Wilson (in NBO) for 3pm flight to the Mara; have a full day in the Mara. However, the flight departing the Mara on the 27th (11am) won't get you into Wilson till about 12:15pm then you'll need to transfer to JKIA for your flight to Turkey.
While the Mara, I feel is great all the time, March is not ideal (end of month is also creeping close to the "wet" season) so I would stay in Tanzania. If it's gameviewing you want, you can spend half-day at Arusha Natl Park (a canoe safari) or arrange a cultural tour in/around Arusha or do some shopping, maybe even relax a bit at your hotel here before heading to Turkey which is another great adventure.
Sometimes you just need to catch your breath in-between these two great destinations.
