Mara Intrepids / Explorer with photos

Hi Phil I am going to the Mara Intrepids in July 2007 and really enjoyed your review and your photos were superb. What type of a camera did you use and what Zoom lens did you have? Also did you do the balloon safari?

Cathie -- Glad you saw this. I am reminded that the camp is on the Talek River not the Mara, as I think I told you. The Mara is about 30-40 minute drive to the east (more or less).
Philw has much more current information on the Intrepids than I.
You will have a great time there, no doubt.

Sorry for taking so long to respond - had missed the question !
Camera is a canon 300D (Rebel). I uased two different lenses. Most were with a Canon 70-200L but also used a cheaper 75-300.
You'll have a great time at Intrepids and should see the migration and possible river crossings. The Mara river is around a 45 minute drive to the West.
I didn't do the balloon safari - its never really appealed to me but i'm sure I'll go one day !
