Anyone have any experience with this lodge?

I am going there for four nights in February and will post a report then.

I just got back from a two night stay in Makanyane and it was utterly fabulous. The rooms are breathtaking and the food is absolutely stunning. In fact, I would say the attention to detail was second to none and I would recommend this place to anyone. The only complaint would be that I didn't stay long enough!

Were the mongoose still running around causing havoc?

Yes, the mongooses (mongeese?!!) were there. I fell in love. It was all I could do to not pack them up in my suitcase when I left!
