LyndaS Africa packing list

I was trying to copy LyndaS's packing list for Africa when I lost the thread. Can anyone give me a link to find it? Thanks

Actually, I have three going on the same subject!

The one that Patty mentioned is the VERY comprehensive list that I did before I went, where I took a stab at it, and got some VERY helpful advice from everyone on the board!

Then, once I got back, at the beginning of nmy trip report (well, almost at the beginning) I posted what worked and what didn't:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34822022

And then, after I had time to sit down and recreate the list for myself for next time - I posted the 'absolute' all you need list on:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34902894

Some people just post too much, don't I ???

Thanks so much for replying Lynda and Patty. Those were the links I needed. I have been so paranoid about what to pack and the luggage weight restrictions within Tanzania. We'll be away for 19 days. We are going to Egypt for 8 days first which includes a 4-night Nile cruise where you have to dress up a little at night. Plus the temperature will be cooler than in Tanzania so I would need different clothes for daytime also. I knew I would never manage the 33 lb weight restriction. However, I just found out from my travel agent that I can leave a suitcase with our driver/guide when we arrive in Arusha, and pick it up when we leave for home.
Thanks again

spsand- the guy that gave them to us for Christmas last year, is coming over tonight, I'll ask him. They were of the regular stainless steel themal variety - BUT - way smaller! Perfect for game drives.

Something tells me it was Mountain Equipment Co-op or some outdoor sports store or other, but I'll get back to you shortly.

Pamlg- good idea about leaving a bag with your outfitter. We had 3 people on our trip who had just come from a Med cruise for 3 weeks, I can just imagine how much they left with the hotel! They even had wet suits, but that's another story....

Thanks Lynda for all of your great packing suggestions........as for the coffee, is it a mug or a thermos that you took? I went on line to the Mountain Equipment store and they had both kinds.......also, i found the name of a store on one of your other threads for plus size convertible pants.....invaluable.. since i am in-between and often find that the regular size 16 is just a tad ( or more) too snug and I want to be comfortable.....thanks again.....oh yes, and i will be ordering the "tushy" cushion as well
