welcome back and thanks jczinn for your feedback
So after the weather panic you got to ATL fine and that's always a good start. I keep hearing good things (as good as it can be flying xx hours) about the Delta flight ATL to JNB. Unfortunately(?
) I just got 100,000 miles on BA with their latest credit card deal so I likely will be flying via Europe once again.
Well, I think I've crossed off November as possible month to safari SA. Happy for you weather cleared for Sabi Sand. Still, one week out of two having bad photo light would severely depress me!!! But July of May should work fine. Now if the $$$ would get some strength.
Looking forward to seeing some of your photos, give you until next year

tom, I wouldn't necessarily cross off November as even the locals were saying that type of extended rain was unusual. Just the week before (which was also November!) was hot and dry. You just can't be sure with the weather! The advantage was everything being so green and also the huge variety of birds. Perhaps the first weeks in November would be a better bet then the last two, however. But May could also be good..heck any time sounds good to me right now!
