Leely's Tanzania June 2006 photos

I tried to be as ruthless as I could when culling, but it's hard. Got down to 105. And another caveat: I am NO photographer--not even close.

What are you talking about? You have some great shots! Love the landscapes, the tiny lion cub... Thanks for posting but I'd like to see more!

Yes, more please! Thank you Leely for sharing. My favorites included solitary cape buffalo, close up of the topi, close of giraffe drinking, the handsome male lion, and certainly the hyena with fresh meat. And, as cooncat said, you have great shots. No need to hang your head. Dick

Leely:

Your photographs are fabulous!

I do believe we were in the Serengeti at the Same Time, Same Leopard and a few other moments! Were you there at the end of June?

Thanks, guys.

Den, yes, late June in the Serengeti. I can't wait for your trip report (hint, hint). We spent our last day in Arusha going to a school with Wilbert from Kiliwarriors. You safari'd with them, right? WHAT a terrific guy.

And I have to say, both my friend and her mom commented on how good looking he is. Of course, I'm above such things. All I see is the person inside.

Great pictures, Leely. I loved the rhinos and baby elephants, and that lion with the huge mane! Wow. The photo with the giraffes on either side of the road, with the clouds and blue sky was just beautiful.

Leely,

Very nice pictures. I particularly enjoyed the leopard on the tree, the huge male lion in the crater, the black rhino up close....

Quick question....the cheetah family....which part of the serengeti was that? Was it a group of young males?

Thanks
Hari

Leely -- Your pictures ROCK!
Can I get on your Christmas card list?
I have to know what the giraffes are saying.

GREAT photos! Lots of favorites, but I do think that I liked your 'grande finale' best of all!

Do post more please!

I just might fit Arusha park in on my one free day after seeing your canoing [sp?] experience!

Leely, I viewed your photos this morning and can think of nothing else. Your photos of giraffe, and especially the baby elephant, made my heart leap. Thank you for giving me the goosebumps once again during this (seemingly) endless wait til our own safari!
