kilimanjaro climb
hi all
I am trying to help some friends with a planned ±November trip to Tanzania. They want to climb kili, which I haven't done. I have a couple of questions for those experienced;
1. climb second/ or reverse? (seems the immobility of safari may leave you rusty to do a climb. but the week would allow them to acclimatize)
2. 5, 6 or 7 day climb? Have been advised that Hoopee and african ±Environments are both reputable.
Any insights welcome!
Thanks
±Nancie

Most do the climb first for the very reason you mention. If they've done any pretraining before leaving home, why waste it sitting in a safari vehicle for days!
As to the number of days for the climb... depends on the route they choose, but always suggest they include the extra day for acclimization. The additional cost is minimal.
Know of Hoopee (sp?) which is reputable, but not heard of African Environments.
