Wonderful pictures and you have organized your photos in a very nice way. Tell the truth, you paid the lions to pose for you!

Thanks you all for the kind words

Bat: Those two lions reminded me of a pair of pandas I saw in a zoo that just sat on a log eating bamboo leafs and watching the tourists go by. The lions were sitting up on a little mound watching the minibuses jockey for position and the tourists snap away. I was just very lucky that we were one of the first to arrive and were sitting right in front of them. My favourite picture is the one were one of the lions has her eyes closed like asleep and the other is keeping an eye on everything.

As for boundary hill lodge, we just saw it from a distance so I can't tell you if its complete or not.

Thanks for the candid information on the various operators.

Interesting you mentioned the Gorilla Nest food. I found it to be tasty enough, but the ordering process was odd--show up 45 minutes in advance, order from an extensive menu where many items were unavailable, then return to dine.

I saw your first wonderful picture of the adorable baby gorilla. How old is s/he?

I was not able to access your other pictures, but I appear to be alone because others made comments.

Maybe you'll return to Africa for a 5th or 10th anniversary, or maybe your first!

I'm sorry you guys are having trouble - I don't know what is wrong, maybe its just traffic? If you haven't tried this url, give it a try: http://individual.utoronto.ca/ltaylor/index.html

Atravelynn: Gorilla's Nest, at least while I was there, had buffer for breakfast and for dinner, so seem to have reworded the process.

I do hope we will go back sometime, and you idea for an anniversary is great!

Lawrence,

Firstly, congratulations to you both and pleased to hear what a great trip you had.

Loved your photos, and as everyone else, nearly, has mentioned, that baby gorilla with that hair! It actually looks like my dog's head - I have a female black standard poodle, and both her and the baby gorilla share a similar head of hair!

Your photos are great! I loved the serval - on my wish list every time I head over there!

What a fabulous trip. Beautiful pictures. I hope you have many more wonderful adventures together, and look back on this trek as just the beginning of many.

I found the problem on your site. The link are pointing towards:

/ltaylor/mara\lions\index.html

The slashes are wrong! It should be:

/ltaylor/mara/lions/index.html

If you enter them manually, you are able to see the photos!
