Kavey Internet Down - apologies if not responded to your emails

Hi folks,
We've had no internet for the last 2 days and no sign of Demon/ BT fixing our ADSL anytime in the next week!
We're just now managing to access the net via very slow and expensive old modem on our main phone line.
So you not see much of me for a while until we get this sorted (probably by switching to a different provider for good).
My main email is not accessible at all for the moment, please use the hotmail one and I'll try and check it every day or two.
THANKS
Kavey

Looks like we'll be down for some time, broadband wise. We can access intermittently using an old modem and today I'm at a friend's house.

We've decided after being loyal 10+ years customers with this ISP to move. We were with them before ADSL became common, we were even trialists for their ADSL before it was launched but this fiasco is a fiasco too far...

Might be a while before I'm back up fully.

BTW Even though I can access internet and hotmail email from elsewhere I cannot get my regular email at my main address as it's queued up in the ISP's mail server...

Hi Kavey,

Hope this gets sorted soon -- this must be driving you mad since your business is run through your other account.

Cheers,
Julian

Yes that's the main problem - and I can't really call everyone who might email me about work as it would take forever!
Pete's working on switching us to another provider but it's still up in the air as to whether we'll be able to recover the mail that's sitting in the current provider's mail queues.
I can access hotmail and the net via dialup every now and then...

Now have limited access to my main email address via dial up and internet access via dial up too - albeit slow!

Hi Kavey-
Do you need me to resend the email with my 'choice' in it? Let me know!

Hi Kavey,

Did you get the attachments I sent? I think they went to your work address.

Cheers,
Julian

Haven't received a thing, Julian! Thought you were ignoring me after my latest revelation in response to your Kenya travelling suggestion!

Latest report from crappy ISP is saying it could be at least another week (you can imagine how delighted we were at that!) so we're still on dial-up.

If the attachments are not very large (less than half a meg) you can try my main address but might be best to send them to my hotmail account instead and I can then access from a client's site during a break.

Hi Kavey,

I'll send them to your hotmail account. They're just word documents -- nothing too large.

Cheers,
Julian
