Jordan itinerary comments
Hello,
we will be in Jordan for 5 days and we are planning as follows:
Day 1: Arrive into Amman at 8am (after flying all night). Head to Petra, with Madaba and Mount Nebo on the way. Rest at Petra hotel(Movenpick?). Night tour of Petra
Day 2: Spend whole day in Petra, overnight at Petra
Day 3: Little Petra and Wadi Rum, overnight at Petra
Day 4: Head to Dead Sea, Spend Day at Dead Sea, overnight at Dead Sea
Day 5: Jerash, fly out in the evening to Cairo.
Anything we should add to this itinerary? If we had an extra day, what would you suggest we do in Jordan?
thanks!

We did a very similar itinerary in January - my only question is it seems you backtrack from Wadi Rum to Petra when you could continue to the Dead Sea - we did Little Petra and Wadi Rum and were in Aqaba for lunch at 2:30pm - had we kept going north we would have been at the Dead Sea resorts by 4:30 or so which would give you two nights there........

Sorry - forgot to add - when you're at the Dead Sea you might want to add Bethany Beyond the Jordan where John baptized Jesus......lots of pics on our blog

Also when you go to Jerash you can also stop at Ajloun a crusader fort - we really enjoyed the crusader forts (more on the way from Madaba to Petra but you might be tired)

mush - I think it's worthwhile being at the Dead Sea for 2 nights versus backtracking to Petra/Movenpick for 1 additional night - if you leave Petra and head for Little Petra and Wadi Rum and then keep going to the Dead Sea it gives you more time to enjoy the Dead Sea and possibly add Bethany Beyond the Jordan.......or stay at Wadi Rum for that night is an option too
