I saw sable in Kwara 2 of the three nights i stayed there......although one time we were trespassing onto Shinde's property.

Sable is also known to be seen in the linyanti/kwando concessions during the dry months......

Cooncat - Jasher and I are spending the same three days at Savuti - looking forward to the hide and sleeping under the stars. We got a private vehicle so we can track some wild dogs (hopefully) and I would love to see some serious leopards. It will be nice to put some faces to the names on the board...

Jules - will also have a hellacious layover in London on the 12th of June - hope we can do lunch as I have a 10 hour layover...ugh!

Why hello, Canechick! I sure wish I could be there with you two in the private vehicle. Not so sure about the overnight in the hide....it might be OK. ;-) I'll be with you in spirit!

We will definitely track some wild dogs! I'm probably bringing an extra jumper for the sleepout, though -- it can get a bit nippy in the Linyanti at that time of year. Lunch or tea in London would be great!

I found out today that Savuti has opened up for my fourth night, so I don't need to do that awkward one-night stay at Selinda. The itinerary is now:

June 22: Depart London on overnight Virgin Atlantic flight.
In June 23 Out June 24: Joburg (TBA - probably the Grace or the Saxon)
In June 24 Out June 28: Savuti
In June 28 Out July 3: Mombo Main Camp
In July 3 Out July 4: Lebala
In July 4 Out July 6: Lagoon
In July 6 Out July 8: Jack's Camp
In July 8 Out July 9: Joburg (TBA)
In July 9 Out July 11: Singita Ebony
In July 11 Out July 14: Mala Mala Main Camp
In July 14 Out July 16: Londolozi Pioneer Camp
In July 16 Out July 17: Joburg (TBA)
July 17: Overnight flight to London

I'll save Selinda for another trip when I can really do it justice.
