Jack's Camp Meerkat Video on YouTube

Hello,

Thought people might enjoy this 'Meerkat Manor' spoof from the folks at Jack's Camp!

I was at Jack's at the end of October, and yes if you sit still the meercats will climb up your back and sit on your head to view the landscape for enemies.
Jack's is my favourite camp and I'll be back there in March

When I was there in April one of them climbed up on my head -- they're surprisingly heavy! One of the other guests filmed it (it's also on YouTube somewhere). Fortunately they don't mark their territory while on lookout duty...

Cheers,
Julian

That was so cool! Too bad Jack's is so expensive.

Hi Dennis,

San Camp is much less expensive and you'd still get to see the meerkats and do all the same activities as at Jack's. Both camps are getting major upgrades this year, and post-upgrade San Camp will be similar to the pre-upgrade Jack's.

An even less expensive option would be Planet Baobab, but the experience there is more culturally focussed than wildlife-focused -- e.g. you wouldn't be able to go out to see the brown hyaenas as well. There are meerkats in the vicinity of PB but they aren't as acclimated to humans so the sightings aren't quite the same calibre, but the cost is amazingly low.

Cheers,
Julian

Hi!

This is amazing! I love these little guys!
