I'm outta here...

Well the day has finally arrived. We leave tomorrow morning for Kenya/Tanzania. The wait has been long but it has also been fun. For those of you that have been around for a while, you'll recall that I have had the usual newbie questions. Thanks for all your advice and recommendations. The Fodorites have made this a great experience before ever stepping foot in Africa. All I can say is Africa must be an amazing place to garner such enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Isn't it interesting that Africa seems to generate so much anticipation and excitment during the planning stages that most of us do start thinking about the next trip before leaving for the current one. We are going with Good Earth Tours to Tanzania in Oct. and I'm checking out threads about Botswana for next year. For me I think it's reading all the trip reports that has made me want to go the various places people have described in addition to the undefinable allure of exotic Africa itself. Have a wonderful and safe trip. Will be on the lookout for you report!
