Can anyone recommend a good site to get an evisa for Kenya. I tried evisa.go.ke but seemed to be in a loop and didn't get anywhere.

Only use that one site you mention; it's the official one. There have been cases of fraud and ridiculously high surcharges on other sites. You can still get it on arrival so it's not a dealbreaker if you don't have it.
