I first contacted the Egyptian Tourist Authority in NYC:

and they contacted the Director of the Egypt Tourism Federation on our behalf and future correspondence from me was with Director Altaranissi who was very helpful to us.
If anyone else had/has issues similar to ours, I would suggest taking the same route of contact.
