Merry Christmas to everyone out there!
And Andy, just wanted to pass a message on to you from someone that works at Banana Republic in one of the stores in Vancouver. I went into the store a few weeks back to get a gift certificate for our son for some 'safari clothes'. I couldn't see anything that even looked remotely like safari clothes, a sales clerk asked if he could help me, and I said - 'well, maybe I have the wrong store - I'm looking for safari-typle clothes and I thought since Andy Bigg's safari pictures had been on display in all of the Banana Republics that you would have safari clothes'. His face lit up, and he said - 'oh yes, we have a few in stock, but will be restocking in February' and then he told me that your pictures were his all-time absolute favorite display in the store, and that he was now thinking about looking into safaris once he saw your pictures, even though he had never thought of it before.
So, just thought I would tell you your pictures had quite the effect on some of the staff, and that he was hoping that you would sign on for more this coming year!
Merry Christmas to one & all!! My New Year's Resolution is to get caught up on the trip report index!

That's a great story, Lynda. Yeah, Banana Republic hasn't sold safari-ish clothes since the 1908's, as far as I understand.
Have a very very Merry Christmas! Leslie and I just finished having about 15 family members and neighbors over for dinner, and boy are we whooped. Time to play Santa Claus in a few minutes and bring some toys out of hiding. We aren't in the big toys stage quite yet, so this year didn't require assembly of any major kind. Just a scooter. The older they get, the bigger the toys, so I hear.
It is this time of the year that I love so most, when I spend quality time with my family and friends.
