I have booked a trip through go2africa.com for next October. I was pleased with the way they were willing to work within my budget to set up a trip that sounds like just exactly what we wanted. They were efficient and timely and helpful. As I said, however, it is not until next October so there's always the chance that things may not work out as expected, but I think that's highly unlikely, as I was able to research the accommodations and other arrangements separately and everything appears to be exactly as go2africa.com said.

My daughter and son-in-law booked their honeymoon through them last summer and everything was fine. They did have to stay in a tented camp one night that was not as good as what they had booked but free liquor eased their pain. We tried to book our safari through them but the agent stopped responding to us when we asked for changes. I even e-mailed her boss to ask why but still no response so we went elsewhere.

I've booked a trip to South Africa and one to Kenya with them and been satisfied both times. Mia was the agent I dealt with on both and she was always prompt with her responses.

we booked our honeymoon trip with them last year. The whole process was great and the trip went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend them. We used robyn.

We booked our Africa trip through them We worked with Rikke and she was fabulous! When we had to change some of our itinerary the first couple of days in Cape Town due to weather problems, she took care of it on a Saturday while on a picnic with her kids. I cannot say enough good things about them. Plus the trip cost at least $1000 less per person than the next cheapest for the same itinerary.

Just booked a trip to South Africa in June. We worked with Kira. I found her to be very responsive (emails answered generally within 24 hours) and she asked excellent questions to try to understand precisely what we were looking for. She worked on a short time frame within a very tight budget.

I'll post back when I return to advise you how it went.

We just booked (and paid for) our June/July trip with go2africa. We worked with Bianica. She was very quick and made arrangements to suit four very different people. I thought the price was very fair. We also booked parts of the trip ourselves. She came up with ideas for us that we hadn't thought of... very helpful. I'll let you know how it works once we return.

We booked a trip through go2africa for Namibia 2 years ago.
It was a self drive safari and our consultant was JANINE WHEWELL.

I found the price reasonable and the service good.
We got the car we wanted,it was prepared for us at arrival even we had a problem with a broken plane in Frankfurt and arrived 1 day later.I had to call her from Frankfurt when we found out the plane was not leaving until next day, so she had to arranged for one night stay in Windhoeck that was not schedule.

The rest of the reserves and services at the lodges where perfect.Good experience overall.

Paco.

Their quoted price was significantly higher for our Kenya itinerary last August. If you are going to Southern Africa they may be OK (they are based in so. Africa). If going to East Africa I would look elsewhere and shop around.

I had the same experience as Kevin (stakerk). They were much higher priced for my upcoming trip to Kenya/Tanzania in January. Very pleasant to deal with, just over my budget.

My two cents:

Go2Africa was the first company we contacted for our East Africa trip, and we also found their prices significantly higher than the local companies. We ended up booking the Kenya part with Eastern & Southern and the Tanzania part with Green Footprint. Africa Serendipity was also very helpful and would have been our second choice.

I did use them for a South Africa trip. They do know the country well. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the booking. Customer service went out the window in a hurray when they actually had to do some work. I would strongly advise against using them.

Thank you so much for all the extremely useful advice and comments. They are much appreciated. The general view seems to be that Go2Africa is good for trips to South Africa but pricey for East African trips. We will definitely get a few more local quotes before making a final decision. Thanks again !

Just a follow-up: the trip booked through go2africa.com last October went very well indeed and we were completely happy with all the arrangements. There was one instance when we needed to contact them because of late arriving flights and missed connections and they were easily available, even though it was out of office hours, and they took care of altering accommodation and flight arrangements for us and got back to us very quickly.
