Hello Virginia,
It looks like there is more than one hotel by that name -- do you mean the Akeri Fountains Hotel?
http://www.africa-adventure.org/a/ak...ins/index.html
If so, I'd recommend considering something in a different locaiton - Cape Town is generally very safe but the city centre is not the best place to be at night. Take a look at Gardens, Tamboerskloof, Green Point, and De Waterkant.
It also seems more geared for conference guests visiting the ICC, which may not be what you want for your holiday.
Cheers,
Julian

Hello,
I'm not sure what your itinerary is, but you could certainly explore the winelands or KwaZuluNatal (flying from Cape Town to Durban) during the time you have planned to spend on the Garden Route.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced nice hotel in Cape Town, take a look at the boutique hotels and guesthouses in the Portfolio Collection:
http://www.portfoliocollection.com
I spent a month in SA staying in Portfolio properties and was never disappointed. One place in Cape Town that I particularly liked was An African Villa:
http://www.capetowncity.co.za
Their sister property, Liberty Lodge, also has a very good reputation.
Cheers,
Julian

Hello,
I think we must have posted at the same time -- Gardens (where Cape Town Hollow is located) is a nice area, but not as close to the clubs and restaurants as some other areas. Since you'll have a car, it should be fine.
I found that Capetonians tend to dine around the same time as Europeans - between 7-8pm.
Cheers,
Julian
