El-Arish and Rafah
I really want to go to the thursday market in El-Arish. Dies anyone know if it is safe to go there. If the market still happens and the best way to get there? A hotel to stay at? Any help is appreciated!

El Arish is safe, I am not sure if it is one of the most exciting places to visit though (taking in consideration the distance).
Do not know about the market.
Easiest way to get there would be by bus.
The following link has some El Arish hotels:

sounds like a nice multi purpose trip
Below is a link to a UNDP project along the same lines, you may be interested in:

Currently El Arish is witnessing a large influx of Palestinians.... practicing some freedom after Israel withrdew from the Gaza strip... it is good for the local economy.. but is straining hotels, transportation, infrastructure etc..
