Do not go to CHEZ PIERRE

We had made reservatons months before for an evening in the Dades Gorge staying at Chez Pierre. Despite multiple confirmations of our reservations, the hotel chose, at the last minute, not to honor them. The manager of Chez Pierre later informed our tour operator of his anti-Semetic policy which is based on name, appearance or passport stamps.
He cancelled our reservation by calling our guide while we were driving to the hotel. The Dades Gorge has very limited accommodations. We had to spend the next two hours looking for lodging. This in no way is a reflection of the Moroccan people. But, the owner of Chez Pierre should be penalized for his behavior.

I find this post somewhat suspect, as I have been to Chez Pierre several times and have not encountered anything approaching this kind of unprofessionality. So, the manager told your tour operator of his "anti-semitic policy", but you did not specifically have this conversation yourself with the manager or owner of the establishment? Could this have been a dispute between the establishment and your guide or tour operator? There's more than what meets the eye on this one!

There is nothing suspect about this. Even if Chez Pierre had an argument with my tour operator, why would my tour operator invoke anti-Semitism. They do not know our religion. I trust my tour operator. You are either naive or a friend of the owner. Furthermore, when we finally found lodgings at the Hotel Kasbah de la Valee, we were told that they frequently have guests who are cancelled at the last minute by Chez Pierre.
By the way, Chez Pierre is run by the owner from Marrakesh. He is no longer on site.

You're clearly the one who is naive, and I would also say a bit rash, as you have been trying to smear this establishment in multiple travel fora on the net. I would not take the word of a third party source who could have had a dispute with the establishment for other reasons, and use this to play with someone else's livelihood. Shame on you.

I wish to assure anyone who is reading this, that we were not given our rooms at this hotel because the owner felt that our last name was Jewish. The person who is denying this, unfortunately can not imagine that this has occurred. I have tried to contact other places on the net, as I am sure you would also, if you had been treated this way. It is important that people know that he manager/owner of Chez Pierre holds certain anti-semitic views. Potential clients can then decide whether or not they wish to patronize his place.
