Julian,

Have to agree about the food at De Oue Werf. It certainly is not great but then there are so many restarants all around the place that one is actually spoilt for choice when it coems to excellent quality and good value dining.

I have only seen the suites at LQF but have not stayed in them. Bear in mind that they are double the price of the standard rooms. I do agree that the suites are a much better proposition than the standard rooms that is quality wise but whether this matches up to the price is another story. Imagine that for every night at the LQF suites one could stay for 4 nights at Plumtree. Just does not make economic sense in my opinion.

Very proudly part of the wonderful nation of South Africa

Correction:

It is not true that the Choo Choo will be out of operation for so long. Another route has been suggested and they have contacted all the big operators for comment. We should have a decission soon.

Plan as you feel. You're going to be on honeymoon. Thats important. You will have a great time here.

Marraige is not about finding the right person but about being the right person.
Have a great wedding and i wish you all the joy and happiness that a marriage can bring.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes and advice. I just don't think we can go wrong at this point! Ultimately, we decided to spring for the suite at LQF. It is quite a bit more, but since it's our honeymoon, we've figured that we'll just economize once we're back home again ;-) It sounds like this way we will have both the experience and the privacy we want, although I'm sure that we could do it in a bit more budget-minded manner, we'll worry about that on another trip. Thanks again ...
