A great collection of shots. Beautiful landscapes and sunsets.
The stork colony from the air is wonderful. Where you in a plane or was that from the microlight? I've never the trees just covered with birds (and their guano) like I have at Tafika. Is that where the stork tree is from?
Loved the flowers and variety of insects.
Your many bird pictures are outstanding.
The yak-yakking yellow billed storks and the crowned cranes on takeoff are lovely.
You have some good antelope pictures, even nursing. I did not notice many puku pictures. Did you see many puku?
This is a good advertisement for the green season.

As always Dennis, your shots are true works of art. It's wonderful that you take the time out to photograph flowers, birds and beautiful scenes from nature. Your wildlife shots are great as well - love the zebras -- very absract -- definitely one to enlarge and hang.
Thanks for posting;

atravelynn~the pictures from the air were from the microlight, hard to take pictures when all that is holding you in is a seat belt, I didn't want to lean over too far! The stork colony was out of Tafika.
alejandra~james will be back in April for the busy season. I missed him, but Victor was outstanding!
napamatt~I know, I'm not a birder and all the birds look the same in my bird book. I tried to remember what Victor called them, but my memory is like a sieve!

Hari- the dogs were in South Luangwa on the salt plains kind of near Puku Ridge (though we stayed at LRL)
Mediatorr- at Tafika Camp, they let you take your camera up, as long as the lens cap is not blowing in the wind. The camera is a Canon PowerShot s1
Kavey and Africanow- THANKS!

What an endorsement for green season-emerald season travel! You saw it all and did an excellent job of capturing it on film.
The close up of the nursing zebra was precious. I liked how you grouped the similar animal species together.
Welcome back and thanks for sharing your outstanding photo album.

thanks chelsea and lynn. after returning from the "emerald season" safari, I thought, "I don't think I'd go again at that time of the year." But each time I look at my photos or read my journal, I realize it was an outstanding trip with more sightings than the dry season (with the exception of less elephants), so I do think now that I would go back during that season and would recommend it. I guess anytime in Africa is better than no time at all!

Dennis, I'm posting this question again in case you missed it the first time. I am very much looking forward to taking a microlight flight when we visit Victoria Falls in October. How did you arrange to take your camera on the microlight flight? I thought that the reports stated that tourists are not permitted to bring their own cameras. What kind of camera was it?

Mediattor,
Perhaps there are different rules to microlighting at Tafika (www.remoteafrica.com) where Dennis did his microlighting compared to the rules for microlighting in Livingtone.

Mediator- Yes there are different rules at Tafika camp as to carrying a camera on a microlight. As long as the lens cap was secure or taken off, no problem. I think this is due to the fact that it's not considered a "public ride" which if it's anything like in the U.S. has reams of rules and regs. At Tafika, it's his microlight, can go up anytime he wants, no problem and since he (John Coppinger) is the only pilot, he's not going to do anything to jeopardize his own life.
