Day trip to Jerusalem from Madaba

Is it doable a day trip to Jerusalem from Madaba, Jordan? I was considering this but Im not sure about logistics (tour, taxi or bus) and how much it will cost to get there, any advice?

It's doable, but difficult. You have to cross an international border twice and make sure you have all the requisite visas, etc. You'd have to cab or bus to the bridge, cross, find a taxi on the Jordanian side for about a 45 minute ride, see what there is to see in Madaba (one nice church) and return in time to cross again with all the immigration issues before closing. You can e-mail me at [email protected].
