David Citadel or King David hotel in Jerusalem?

We will be in Jerusalem for six days in September. We originally booked the David Citadel, but I have been reading alot of negative comments lately, and I am strongly considering changing to the King David. Which is the better hotel? I know the Citadel is more modern, and the King David is more historic, but which is an overrall better experience? Many thanks.

I agree with touringisrael- Definitely King David.
I would say it's the best hotel in the country.

The King David and the David Citadel are comparably, excellent hotels. The King David has more history while the Citadel is more modern. They enjoy a friendly rivalry and either one you choose, you will have a wonderful stay.
