You can price these flights on www.kenya-airways.com. I think online ticket purchases still have to be picked up at the airport, but if you're in the US, you can purchase tickets over the phone and they will mail them to you. I think they add a surcharge for credit card payments though.

Sounds right or pretty close.
Surprisingly, airfares in Africa are kind of expensive. One/way ZNZ/NBO is about $260+/-. And believe the flight from Mombasa transits through Nairobi before heading to ZNZ. No direct flight MOM/ZNZ. $260 x 2 = $520.
Besides, there are many choices as to carriers.

Hi winnie2
i'm thinking about alternatives
what about 'the flight of the Catamaran'??
There used to be a weekly ferry - MS Sepideh - i've heard it was cancelled, but i'm not up-to-date...
Does anyone know ?
? (cheaper) Alternatives:
e.g. Lamu (if an old town with alleys' atmosphere etc' is a must)

Checking on www.kayak.com a number of Kenya Air flights show up, however, on the outbound MOM/ZNZ it's via NBO (as mentioned above) and can take a good 6/hrs. Flight MOM/NBO, layover, flight NBO/ZNZ. The return flight is the expected 1.5/hrs.
The fares shown were $477. I didn't check to see whether that included taxes. Oh, and when departing ZNZ for NBO, you have to pay $20-$25/departure tax that is NOT included in your ticket price.
