Cell Phone Use in Morocco
I would like to use my Cingular Motorola V551 GSM cellular phone while in Morocco. Is that possible? Should/Can I buy a SIM for usage while there? Am very unclear about use of cell phones overseas. Can anyone help out? Thanks, Stuart Bessler

I used my Tmobile that had a global sim in it, they just activated it before i left. Rates are expensive though 2.00 per minute. Check with your cell company. Mine worked fine in Morocco even in the desert. Crazy isn't it?

Thanks for the response. I checked with Cincular. They do provide service within Morocco. Cost: $2.49 per minute. Sounds like you have a better deal, but won't switch for just this trip.
P.S. I've been reading and enjoying your trip diary. Really like the pictures. It probably says somewhere, but what month were you there.

April 4-23. We'll be traveling by car on our own. Casablanca, Essaouaria, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Boumaine du Dades, Tinehir, Erfoud/Merzouga, Midelt, Fez, and Rabat. Any suggestions? Thanks,
