Capetown Help

Having secured accomodations for the Safari, I now need help with the capetown portion.

How far to the wine country from capetown? Would it make sense to stay in capetown to be near the beach, then have a car and driver take us to stellenbosch, etc?

Suggestions for luxury accommodations in capetown would be helpful. Budget $300 us per night.

For luxury accomodation, check out the Retreats Collection at www.portfoliocollection.com

Depending from your location in Cape Town (and traffic density) count between 30-60 min. to Stellenbosch.
You can easily get there on your own in a rental car. Roads are very good and we absolutely didn't feel unsafe, if you might be worried about that.

Try Kensington Place as a great boutique hotel in a lovely part of CT.

We stayed at Cape Grace in Capetown and it was amazing. Loved it because it was on the water but in the heart of everything. We loved the wineland tour and the drive wasn't long- maybe an hour. We had a guide who was outstanding that took us by a local chocolate shop, a beautiful winery for lunch, took us to great vineyards and a beautiful little weaving shop. Feel free to email me if you would like me to locate specific info about our trip.
