Capetown Airport Lodging?
We're arriving in CPT at around 11 PM. We'd like to crash somewhere overnight (we're not planning on spending time in the city). Is there an airport hotel? I have been looking on the usual online sites, but have only found places in Cape town itself.
Is there an airport hotel? Any advice is appreciated!

Newlywed,
The Cape Town airport does not have a formal hotel where you can overnight. At the moment a hotel is being built at the airport however I dont think it will be ready in time for your coming to my city.
The closest hotel for an overnight type stay would be the City Lodge in Pinelands. http://www.citylodge.co.za/cl8.htm This hotel is about 10 km from the airport. The hotel is comfortable and well priced. I actually have visitors staying there overnight as I write this post and they have reported to me that they are finding it perfect for their overnight needs.
The hotel is used to late night arrivals and even though there is a steakhouse next door to the establishment where one can eat in your case this wont be possible as the venue closes at about 22h30. The hotel does not have room service late at night however they do serve breakfast in their foyer area.
For an airport type overnight stay I would recommend this venue highly.
Hope you enjoy my great city when you pay us a visit and hope that we wll be seing you for more than just an overnight event.

The previous information is a bit out of date. There is a Road Lodge only a couple kilometers away.

Thank you for your guidance, all! I have booked a room at the Road Lodge.
We will be in South Africa for 16 days. We'll be volunteering at a wildlife reservation. We're realy excited!!!
We'll be about 3 hours east of CPT on the Garden Route at a reserve. We have weekends to ourselves. Are there any suggestions for things to do? We like hiking, exploring, off the beaten path stuff, and cultural stuff. Nothing TOO strenuous, but we are active. We're both fit and in our early 30s, but I can bungee jump or whitewater raft at home in the States, and I haven't bothered yet! All guidance is appreciated!
