Cape Town Hotel
I know that you are all probably sick of hearing about my accomodation seeking.
I got lots of great ideas about guest houses in Greenpoint but am still considering something closer to the waterfront area. I haven't given up the Breakwater lodge completely. I realize it is quite basic. I came accross another place called the Dale Court Guesthouse. Anybody ever hear about it? It seems quaint and in the same general location as the waterfront. Any thoughts??

Dale Court is much further up the road from the Waterfront and it is not advisible to walk to or from there to the waterfront at night. If you are considering staying in that location you may as well consider Cape Castle Protea Hotel, Victoria Junction, EsCape, Wilton Manor, Point B, 18 on Crox, Davids Guest House and 4 ON VARNEYS.
They are all in the same area ie. GreenPoint

Hi Trixie,
I'd suggest staying in Greenpoint. Taxis are cheap and plentiful if you want to go to the Waterfront to shop or dine, and the money you save by staying elsewhere will more than pay for your taxis.
Cheers,
Julian

I stayed in Greenpoint too and I loved the location. Very quiet and residential but so close to everything. That said we did have a rental car so we were able to drive. When we didn't fancy driving (because we wanted to able to drink with dinner) we just called cabs which were very reasonable.
