What hotel are you staying in? Most decent hotels have a concierge who will arrange a trusteorthy and licensed guide for you. You can also hire a driver from a company like Rawas to take you anywhere you want to go. These are professional drivers in clean comfortable cars (ie Mercedes etc). They're far more expensive than taxis or trains but worth the money if you want comfort. We used their services a couple times but after a few days grew used to the taxis.
