BEN GURION AIRPORT TO RISHON LEZION

Hi there

Can someone (perhaps a local?) please assist ? I land in tel Aviv on a Saturday night and would like to stop over for an hour or two in Rishon Lezion on my way to Herzlia.

1) How long will it take me to get from Ben Gurion Airport to Rishon Lezion (Hachsharat Hayeshuv Street) airport by taxi ? (Saturday evening)
2) What will be the approximate cost
3) Will I be able to find a cab later that evening (9pm) in Rishon Lezion to go to Herzlia ?
4) any other advice ?

Thanks!

The official govt fixed price for a taxi from the airport is 96 NIS during the day and 109 at night. Add 5 NIS for the airport surcharge and a few shekels for luggage. The night rate may apply all day Saturday. Check with the dispatcher at the official taxi stand outside the terminal.

The trip should take 30-40 minutes depending on the traffic.

You can order a taxi in Rishon from any of the local taxi companies (I estimate about 45 min). The official fixed price is 111/128 NIS. Other options are to go by bus (transfer in Tel-Aviv) or by train. There is currently one train on Sat. evening for Rishon to T-A at 21:45 (you also have to tranfer trains in T-A). You can check the schedules at:

But your address is quite far from the Rishon station (and I don't know your Herzliya address)so you may have to take a taxi at both ends.

Just to clarify: the official fixed price for the taxi from Rishon to Herzliya is 111/128 NIS and I estimate that the drive takes about 45 minutes.

To add a bit more info - please realize that Rishon is not on the way from the airport to Herzliya. You will have to go south from the airport to Rishon Le-Tziyon, while Herzliya is north of the airport.

In any case the advice you got from mbgg is the best way to do this.
