Beirut Trip Report!

I just spent the weekend in Beirut, Lebanon, and wanted to share about my experience. It was a great city, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

The city is famous for its culinary and nightlife scenes, and I found both to be every bit as good as I had heard. I had great meals at places like Tawlet, and went out in the famous nightlife area of Gemmayze.

I also took a walking tour one afternoon, and learned a lot about the city's history and culture. It was a great way to see Beirut, as a lot of the highlights aren't in the most obvious places. The city center is small enough to walk around, and the area along The Corniche is a must.

I wrote a couple of blog posts about the trip if you want to read more and see photos:

Happy travels!

Thanks Femi. I agree that Beirut isn't talked about enough as a travel destination. It's such a great place, though. Hopefully others will discover it!

Hi flytheworld, Thanks for posting, I have been there in 2006, Really such a very beautiful city and the whole country is great with amazing culture and history, I wish you were able to see Jeita grotto and Jupiter's Temple in Baalbek, May be I will arrange for another visit together with Egypt in my next summer vacation.
