Anyone used Cardboard Box

I am looking into going to Namibia before my safari to Zimbabwe next year and wondered if anyone has booked with Cardboard Box Travel Shop.

Yes, in 2007. They were pleasant to deal with and very efficient. They were "the one" in those days too - gold-plated reputation.

I'd almost certainly use them again, although I might check for more recent visitors than me.

I've used them and everything went swimmingly. Quick responses and bookings handled efficiently. I didn't rent a car through them, though, because they wanted payment up front (can't remember if in full or deposit). Rented through Budget so I could pay when I handed the car back.

PS - CB has an excellent reputation. I recently read a comment from an agent in Namibia who says that while CB is her main competitor she herself wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We just came back from a two week trip, most of which was arranged by Cardboard Box, and everything went extremely well. The only difficultly we had originally was that Namibian wildlife federation hadn't set their rates for this month when we wanted to book. CB asked for a substantial amount more than the posted rates, on the understanding that they would go up considerably. We chose to deal directly with NWF, and their rates in fact hardly went up at all.

But all the bookings that Cardboard Box handled were done efficiently, plus they provided a useful introduction to Namibia package. We would use them again.

I've done lots of emailing with them and was always impressed. I hope you use them raelond and then let me know about, as has been our pattern.

This is a post from July when I was considering adding Namibia to Zimbabwe. I decided to go to Cape Town for 5 nights instead of Namibia.

That's right, I recall that switch now. You might still get to Namibia with Cardboard Box before I do, though!
