Anyone been on Safari with Pulse Africa

Has anyone booked their travels with Pulse Africa.I have not seem them mentioned on the board.
I am getting a quote from them and wondered if anyone else had actually done a tour with them.

In the thread "Honeymoon advice please"

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threadselect.jsp?fid=4

the 13th response from Welltraveledbrit (I may not have spelled that name right) mentions Pulse in a postive light.

If you post your itinerary here, others can comment on it and remark on what agents they used to do something similar. Then you can get a variety of feedback on what to do and who to book with.

Yes, we booked with them to go to Southern Tanzania 2 years ago. Everything went very smoothly so I would quite happily recommend them.

We've also met the owners a couple of times at the London Destinatins show. The reason we first booked with them was the interest they showed in understanding exactly what we were looking for (back then it was ..... a safari............ somewhere remote!). The place they sent us is still my favourite place on earth!

Joybell,
I'm happy to recommend them. I bought a special from them for my honeymoon in 2000 - it was the most incredible end of season special and I wish that I could get it again!

We had 10 nights Tongabezi (2)-Sausage Tree(3)-Tena Tena (2)-Nsefu(3)including small plane charter transfers for $2,500 each.

We liked working with a local agancy which has several advantages...it keeps the profits in Southern Africa and you work with agents who regularly visit these camps.

I was nervous intially because we wired the cash to their bank account (cheaper than using credit cards) but everything went very well.

Best of luck!

Thank you all so much for your replies. This forum is so helpful.
I agree it is good to book with agents/operators in the country in which you are going to travel as they know what they are selling and right on the spot.
I am wondering how do you get your tickets ?
I am working with Debbie at Pulse she has been most helpful .
We live in Australia .
We are getting a few quotes to compare.
