We drove from Lake Bled, leaving after breakfast, took our time and arrived in Cortina around noon. We circled a bit in Lienz and were going to stop, but couldn't find a parking place so went on. So the answer is certainly yes. We went through Austria on the autobahn for the most part.
Oh, and the drive from Lake Bled to Ljubljana is about an hour.

We did it about two weeks ago. Going to Corvara from Ljubljana via Lienz was the most direct route. Coming back, however, we took a much smaller road (111, I think) and it was one of the most beautiful drives we have ever made. It was a small mountain road that passed through stunning vistas and tiny villages. It took about 4 hours which was a bit longer. Completely worth it unless you have 2 small children in the back seat!! If you are interested, I will get out of my seat and actually look for the map!
Cheers,
