Thanks for sharing the photos. I was in St. Barths years ago and loved it. Still think it is one of the most beautiful Caribbean islands. Did you enjoy your trip?

We loved it. Very expensive. We had great time. Enjoyed our villa. We had a great view of Gustavia from the pool and awesome sunsets. Loved the beaches. Every thing was clean (no litter). For five days we tipped on top of the added tip.

St. Barths doesn't seem get enough attention here -- possibly because it has the reputation of being very expensive. And, yes - I know there aren't many bargains to be found on St. Barths -- but off season it isn't really over the top -- especially if you rent a villa and cook a few meals in. We stayed at Village St. Jean and had a great kitchen on the deck and enjoyed making breakfast there every morning. We went out to eat someplace wonderful for lunch -- but then made something simple for dinner (back out on the deck). Loved it - one of the islands I'd love to return to someday (and I am not one to repeat destinations).

Great pics...we return to SBH in November. Been there so many times, and yet your pictures seem to reveal some new things for us to see and do. What was your favorite restaurant? Where was the villa (it was so pretty)? Was the shrine in Lorient and part of the Catholic Church there? Are you thoroughly tired of hearing how you look like David Letterman? LOL Seriously, thanks for taking the time for posting so many photos of my fave place on earth.

Great pics. We were there last summer and loved it! We had a place with an outdoor kitchen, which was cool. We don't do breakfast, but had lunch in every day and then dinner out. I didn't find it to be any more pricey then the other places that we went. That was before the Euro business, though.
Glad to hear that others love the island as much as we did!

I'm looking for a last minute caribbean vacation for next week and the weather forecast says scattered showers every day, does it really rain every day? are they small showers like normal islands or is this like a bad thing? Hope some one can help.

Can you possibly suggest any tour guides for St. Bart's? We are going on a cruise in January and a port is there.

Loved all of the pic's of St. Bart's. It brought back many memories. Thanks.

We've been there several times, and had fun driving the "SmartCars" around the island. Do they still have them? The first time we were there they had the"mini-mokes" and then changed to the "Smarties".

Our favorite beaches were Grouvners(sp?) and St. Jean beach where we had a $75 club sandwich for lunch at Eden Rock. Worth every penny just to say we were there.

A wonderful dinner restaurant is "The Wall House", and of course we loved "Le Select" for a "Cheeseburger in Paradise".

We were there a few times off of the sailboats of Windstar and Star Clipper and just rented a car. It's very easy to drive around the island on your own.

The shopping is outstanding, and we just love the French influence.I agree that it's very clean and safe.

Is it expensive, yes. But any other island which is that nice is also expensive. Remember, every single thing is brought in by boat or plane.
