Venice hotels: Palazzo Stern vs Al Ponte Antico

Venice hotels: Palazzo Stern vs Al Ponte Antico
I'm trying to decide between these two hotels (both with some rooms facing the Grand Canal). The prices are about the same so that isn't an issue. And they both have good locations. Just can't decide and trust me, I have read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Anyone been to both and have an opinion?

I have been to neither but can ask a couple of things to check on which may aid in your decision-making:
1) Are the windows sound-proof?
2) How big is the bath room?
3) Is there free Wi-Fi?
4) Is breakfast included?
5) Is there concierge service?
6) How close is the nearest Vap stop (for easy getting around)?
From the photos (and it is unlikely they show the worst rooms), the second hotel looks slightly more fancy and it is on the same side of the Grand Canal as San Marco.
Please report back.

They're both fun places to stay. If you want a special room in either place, you need to request it by room number.
Palazzo Stern is in a quieter location. The vaporetto dock is just outside the front entrance. The dock services local stops only. The express stop at Accademia is a bit of a pleasant walk south.
The streets leading to Al Ponte Antico can get tourist-crazy, sometimes at all hours, especially on weekends. The boat activity in front of Ponte Antico can get very congested. The famous market is directly across the canal. The boat docks that service the Rialto are fairly close, but there are bridges to cross and this area is always heavily congested with people.

Thank you. I wondered if being that close to the Rialto would be too crazy and noisy especially because I'll be there in early May beginning on a Friday. So now I'm leaning towards Palazzo Stern. And anyway, I like the Dorsoduro area. (Stayed at La Calcina many years ago.)

We stayed on the Grand Cana at Hotel Londra Palace on our first trip to Venice and had to deal with so much noise from the Vaporettos that we had trouble sleeping.
Since then we have stayed away from the Grand Canal and enjoyed our new locations more.
