I acquired my british citizenship in the year 2006, I am planning to work in UAE. Will I loose my british Citizenship? What are the rules on how will I maintain my citizenship as a British? I would like to continue to pay my pension if ever, will that still be possible if I will work in UAE?

This forum is not really the best place to ask. If you are a naturalised citizen, you will have the same rights as anyone else.

merce - this is essentially a travel forum, not a place to come for definitive advice about citizenship matters.

However, if you have a full British passport, I can't see why you would think that going to work somewhere else would put that in peril, in fact, I'm rather worried that you would think that. British citizens work all over the world all the time and don't lose their citizenship, so i can't think why you might think you would, unless of course it is not full British citizenship that you have.

as for continuing to pay your "pension", if by that you mean your National insurance contributions, you can make both Class 2 [self-employed] and Class 3 [voluntary] contributions by direct debit rather than have your employer deduct them at source [Class 1] which will be happening now if you are employed on PAYE. I can see no reason why you shouldn't pay these via your UK bank account while you are in the UAE just as long as you keep enough money in it - they will probably be about £100 /month tops.

You can't lose it if you were born a British citizen and it's rare for a naturalised citizen to lose theres - and it's generally for doing something very naughty which peeves the Home Secretary

You will need your British passport and should do some research on official UK government sites to understand if and where that country permits joint citizenships. However, you will never become a citizen of the UAE; eighty per cent of the population is from somewhere else and living on visas that can be revoked at any time.
