I leave for Europe in 3 days!
I can't believe it is finally here! Italy to France to London for 31 glorious days! I remember when I found this forum and what a resource it has been, thank you all who have helped me along the way! Any last minute tips or suggestions?

You called your bank and credit card companies and told them you are going to be in Italy for 31 days, right? And you have copies of your passport and the front and back of all your bank and credit cards in your luggage?
Have a great time!!

There isn't any reason you need a paper copy of your credit cards, as long as you know their number and have the international phone number of who to call for a problem with them (which is often on the back). The copy serves no purpose other than that information (and maybe your security code). I keep that info in a special small address book I have.

Vivi, better than leaving those copies in your suitcase.. scan the photocopies to your computer. Then go to your email account and create a DRAFT document to yourself. ATTACH all the photocopied credit card and passport pages.
This way, if you need the info, you can access it from anyplace that has internet connection. Additionally, the data is at least risk from being stolen, as you've not emailed it to anyone yet. It is simply sitting in your own email draft folder.
One tip- take a business card from your hotel lobby. If you get lost or need to take a taxi, you can just show the card with the address/phone number on it. I also take a photo of my hotel or apartment facade, with my cellphone. I can use it to verify I'm at the right place. (Marking an X somewhere with sidewalk chalk is also good.)
Buon viaggio!
