Turansa or Adrenalina for Antigua?
I am planning to use shuttles to get to Antigua from the airport, and to get to and from Copan. I am looking at Turansa and Adrenalina. Does anyone have a preference? (A search on this forum only turned up 1 review that was 5 years old). Thank you.

I've used Adrenalina with good success.

I haven't heard anything bad about Turansa. Planning for a group trip in 2009 I put out a long list of places our group of 15 would be going for bids and Adrenalina had the best price. I vetted them on multiple forums and the reviews were positive so I went with them. The vehicles were nice and the drivers friendly, helpful, prompt, and safety conscious. I'm working with them already for several groups I'm leading in July. When I travel by myself or with my husband we use their share shuttle services but for groups it's cost effective to hire private services and have full control of schedules and stops along the way. Happy trails!

As to Copan, be aware that the agency you contract with is not necessarily the agency which operates the tour. Generally there's not enough business for all of them to operate every week.
From the airport, taxis are numerous and can be had for $20 a load. Shared shuttle is a bit cheaper, but not always as timely. Going back to GUA, $30 is the best I've found.

Thank you for the caveat. Just to clarify, I'm not looking for group tours as I will be traveling independently. I'm only looking for reliable point-to-point transportation. I'm also not on a tight time schedule, so I'm okay with shuttles. I rarely take cabs when I travel, but will consider your comments in the unlikely event I have to use one.

I have another question. I have the option of catching a flight from Guatemala City to Houston at 7:20 pm on a Thursday. To get to the airport by 5:00-5:15 pm, what time would you leave Antigua? I know the road to Guate is a busy one, but don't know how much the time of day affects travel times.
