Fodor's Expert Review Las Palmeras

Across from the tranquil Playa Los Tumbos, a beach on the northern end of the waterfront, Las Palmeras is a welcoming hotel (once you get past the gated entrance) with ocean views. Its spotless rooms have terraces, most facing the water. A narrow garden with a small pool makes for a very relaxing stay, and, since the hotel is gated, there's a feeling of privacy. There's also a full-service cafeteria on-site.
