Hyatt Centric
Enrique Foster 30, Las Condes Santiago, Chile, 7550163Why We Like It
This hotel encourages guests to get out into the city. Rooms are comfortably finished, but a touch on the spare side. It's evident that they want you to use the lobby as your living room, a great place to hang out, and meet up with friends or colleagues before going out to explore the city. Concierge services are top notch and they can make great recommendations for any taste. The location is perfect for business or pleasure, or a little of each.
Fodor's Expert Review
This newest addition to the Hyatt family in Santiago opened in the second half of 2018. This design-oriented hotel is strangely hidden in plain sight in Las Condes, with the entrance on a smaller street that hides the upscale, tasteful design, with cutting edge décor chosen by famous Chilean interior designer Enrique Concha. Local craft-made items are also on display. Upstairs, it's another world with tasteful, minimalist rooms in mostly black with lots of cozy touches of home.

Room
Handsome, with black walls and en eclectic design. Modern furnishings with local touches. There are floor-to-ceiling windows, and K-cup style coffee makers in every room.
Tip There are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant rooms with lowered towel racks, accessible showers, accessible peepholes in the door, accessible light switches, thermostats, etc.
Bathroom
Spacious, marble fixtures with large mirrors and only shower stalls, no tubs.
Lobby
This is where the interior design is best showcased, and there are many places to sit, including more and less private alcoves, comfortable furniture in a mid-century style with an Asian twist, never leaving far behind elements of Chilean design such as copper, wicker, earthenware and textiles.
Pool
Upstairs with an enviable view, but unheated, which means you'll only want to swim here in summer months. Views of busy Las Condes main artery, Apoquindo below.
Spa
Nothing onsite, but they have an arrangement for salon and massage services at the nearby W Hotel.
Gym
Simple but adequate with cardio machines and free weights, and a view of the Andes in the distance.
Dining
Onsite, the restaurant Talbó is also the site of the nice buffet breakfast. At lunch and dinner, find Chilean and international food, including empanadas, locos (similar to abalone), pasta and gnocchi as well as fresh fish.
Drinking
A good selection means a nice glass of wine is never far away at this hotel. Have a glass at the restaurant or in the lobby, where you can also order mixed drinks.
What's Nearby
Getting Around
This hotel is close to the El Golf metro station, and is within walking distance of the World Trade Center in Santiago. Outside of metro hours, or to go farther afield, most visitors will choose to take a taxi, Uber or Cabify to and from the hotel, though the area is very safe at night.
Restaurants
There are many high-end options not too far from the Hyatt Centric, and for meat lovers, there are two main choices, both on Nueva Costanera, which are Rubiyat (8-minute drive) and Ox (6-minute drive). Also well-deserving of a visit and on the very same street is the innovative Boragó, (8-minute drive), where dinner combines with theater in Chile's most highly-lauded restaurant. For wine and food lovers, try the uptown wine bar of La Misión (8-minute drive). Or head to the Pedro de Valdivia area to try 99 (9-minute drive), or Ambrosía Bistro, both of which have interesting preparations of locally-sourced food.
